Cameras and Cranksets

Old camera, new photos

Posted in 35mm by Richard on November 14, 2011

I picked up a lovely little Ricoh 500G 35mm rangefinder at a carboot sale for the princely sum of………. £1.00!! The new battery for it cost me more!  I’ve shot a couple of films through it now with mixed results, on one hand the light leaks are lovely.  But on the other,  just realising now it’s a bit broken and it’ll only shoot in f16 when in shutter priority mode has been a bit of a bugger as I’ve lost some potentially nice shots. Oh well……

New friends, new cameras and old favourites.

I love a trip to the beach on a nice day, it’s one of the reasons that I like living in Newcastle – so much beautiful Northumberland coastline on the doorstep.

“Venimus, Vidimus, Vicimus”

Well it’s not quite “We came, we saw, we cycled” but seeing as the Romans weren’t big on riding bikes……

Hopped on the train down to York last week to spend a few hours rummaging through charity shops, weaving in and out of Spanish tourists, and photographing religious nutters, before getting the train home slightly drunk.

Under exposed

Whoops! I didn’t realise it had been so long since I’d last posted.

So I guess I should post some shots from a couple of recently developed films.

Drunks in the park

Posted in Live Music by Richard on August 12, 2010

I love a good freebie, so when the Jamie at Red Bull asked if I’d like to go to ‘T In The Park’ as a thank you for working with them for the last year I had a grin like a stoned cheshire cat.

Even though I wasn’t actually there to work I obviously had to take a camera, as the opportunity to shoot a few rolls of film on some of my favourite bands and thousands of very drunk scottish folk was too good to miss.

The weather took a turn for the worse.

Massive thanks to Jamie, and Red Bull for the tickets.

In the sticks

I’ve been putting in quite a lot of miles recently just riding around Northumberland on my own except for a camera or two.  The beautiful countryside is criss-crossed with loads of smooth and practically empty lanes, with the occasional pub/cafe, perfect for cycling.

Rolling around London

I was in London last week to shoot a job, unfortunately I wasn’t on my bike, so the rolls in question here are a couple of rolls of 35mm film I shot through my 2nd hand Olympus Trip when I was running about the city trying (and failing) to see some exhibitions.
